Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a natural therapy using various essential oils gathered from fragrant plants. Aromas emanating from certain plants have the ability to aid us both physically and psychologically.

Professional aromatherapy is a safe and appropriate complementary therapy widely used to help support people with cancer. It does not interfere with medical treatment and indeed will support the healing process. Massage with oil can calm the mind and relaxes the nervous system. Treatment can help relieve tension, emotional distress, nausea and sleeping difficulties.

The Client’s individual needs and medical backgrounds are taken into account when deciding which oils, if any, to use. The oils are used in weak dilutions of 0.5% or 1%. Although this is less than the normal dilution of 2.5%, the oils are still effective.
